Terms & Conditions of Membership

MEMBERSHIP CARD
All ADLP membership cards ("Membership Cards") are the property of Accor. The privileges of membership will only be granted on presentation of a valid Membership Card. The Membership Card must bear the signature of the individual cardholder.

PRIMARY MEMBERSHIP
The following persons are eligible for membership ("Primary Membership"):

  1. All permanent and reserve members of the Australian Defence Force ("ADF")
  2. Former ADF members who are receiving a service pension or who have a Retired Members Identification Card.
  3. Overseas Armed Forces on temporary duty or on leave in Australia.
  4. Defence civilians.
  5. All Serving Members of the Police Association of New South Wales.
  6. All Associate Members of the Police Association of New South Wales.
  7. All Employees of the Police Association of New South Wales.
  8. All Serving Members of the Queensland Police Union of Employees.
  9. All Employees of the Queensland Police Union of Employees.
  10. All Serving Members of the Northern Territory Police Association.
  11. All Retired Members of the Northern Territory Police Association.
  12. All Employees of the Northern Territory Police Association.
  13. All Members of the Police Association of South Australia.
  14. All Retired Members of the Police Association of South Australia.
  15. All Employees of the Police Association of South Australia.
  16. All Members of the Western Australian Police Union of Workers.
  17. All Retired Members of the Western Australian Police Union of Workers.
  18. All Employees of the Western Australian Police Union of Workers.
  19. All Members of the Police Association of Tasmania.
  20. All Retired Members of the Police Association of Tasmania.
  21. All Employees of the Police Association of Tasmania.
  22. All Members of the New Zealand Police Association.
  23. All Police Welfare Fund Members of the New Zealand Police Association.
  24. All Employees of the New Zealand Police Association.

PARTNER MEMBERSHIP
The partner of a holder of Primary Membership is also eligible for membership ("Partner Membership"). Partner Membership may be purchased at any time during the term of the Primary Membership and is only valid for the term of the Primary Membership. Cancellation of Primary Membership by you or Accor for any reason will also result in cancellation of the relevant Partner Membership.

ACCOMMODATION
When making a reservation you must identify yourself as an "ADLP Member" to enable you to receive a 20% discount on the best unrestricted public rate of the day at participating Sofitel, Novotel, Mercure, All Seasons and Ibis hotels in Australia, New Zealand and Fiji ("Participating Hotels"). Accommodation is subject to availability and prior reservations via "Accor Reservation Services", or on line at www.accorhotels.com.au/adlp or www.accorhotels.co.nz/adlp are essential. Reservations may not be made directly with Participating Hotels. Your Membership Card must be presented at time of check-in at the Participating Hotel.

ACCOMMODATION RATE
The 20% discount on the best unrestricted public rate of the day is available on any room type (subject to availability) on presentation of your Membership Card. This discount is valid for last room availability (if the Participating Hotel has a room available you are guaranteed a room at the discounted rate). Rates are strictly for leisure use only and cannot be used for any other purpose, including but not limited to, defence business, conferences or other type of travel. Misuse may result in cancellation of membership.

Depending on the location of the Participating Hotel, the rate quoted may include or exclude GST or VAT.

RESTRICTIONS
A member can book up to two (2) rooms per member per night at Participating Hotels. At times of high occupancy some Participating Hotels may require a minimum number of nights per stay and other conditions may apply. Special event periods, as determined by each Participating Hotel, may incur a surcharge.

PARTICIPATING HOTELS
Membership privileges are available at Participating Hotels. Not all hotels operating under the Sofitel, Novotel, Mercure and Ibis brands are Participating Hotels. Accor may give you notice at any time of changes to Participating Hotels. Should a Participating Hotel be incapable of providing accommodation (for any reason including without limitation withdrawal from the Accor network, closure or if the hotel or the business ceases to be owned, operated, managed or franchised by or on behalf of Accor or its Related Bodies Corporate), the hotel shall be removed from the ambit of this agreement and Accor will have no further liability to you in respect of that hotel.

In the event a Participating Hotel is unable to honour an existing reservation for any reason, Accor or the Participating Hotel will use reasonable endeavours to arrange accommodation at a comparable standard at a suitable location.

OTHER BENEFITS
Other benefits include discounts on car hire with Europcar within Australia, New Zealand and Fiji and discounts with Blue Line Cruises. To receive the benefits you must identify yourself as an ADLP member and quote "ADLP" (or ADLP No: CCC07165 for Europcar) at the time of booking. Your Membership Card must be presented on arrival at the relevant location.

LOST OR STOLEN CARDS
Lost or stolen cards should be reported immediately, during business hours, to the ADLP Sales Office in Australia on (61 2) 9280 9536 or New Zealand on (64 9) 523 4742.

TERMS
Your membership is valid until the last day of the month shown as the expiry date on your Membership Card. The Membership Card is for personal use of the individual cardholder only. Membership is not transferable.

INDEMNTIY
You indemnify Accor against any loss to or liability of Accor as a consequence of the issue or use of your Membership Card and any breach by you of these terms and conditions. You are solely liable for all loss and/or damage to a Participating Hotel arising out of your stay at that Participating Hotel and for claims by any person for loss, injury, death or damage of any kind arising from your stay.

LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY
Accor shall not be liable for any amount greater than the membership fee to any member, as a result of, or in conjunction, his or her membership. Accor is not liable for any act or omission of any Participating Hotel including any refusal to honour your Membership Card.

CONDITIONS SUBJECT TO CHANGE
Accor reserves the right to change, modify or amend the conditions of membership without notice.

PERMISSION
As an APDLP member you agree to Accor sending you from time to time direct mail and/or receiving telephone calls or emails to keep you informed of promotional and/or new developments regarding your membership. ACCEPTANCE
Signature or use of your Membership Card constitutes acceptance of the terms and conditions listed above.

INTERPRETATION
In these terms and conditions, a reference to "you" and "your" refers to the member signing the Membership Card, to "Accor" means AAPC Limited (which trades as Accor Asia Pacific), to a "Membership Card" includes any replacement or renewal of that Membership Card.
